Choose a natural, long- lasting dental crown.

Thanks to ultramodern advancement and technology, dental crowns have the capacity to last well over a decade. Every time you are getting a product that will last this long — and that play such a prominent part in your daily life it’s advisable to make your decision precisely! After all, you need a crown that will meet your treatment needs and wants while blending into your smile just as naturally as a real tooth. This is why we offer both Emax and Zirconia crowns at Prachi’s dental care. We want you to be able to choose the right crown for you!

Emax and zirconia crowns are both made from cutting- edge advancement that make them beautiful and long-lasting, but they have their own strengths and weaknesses. Discovering these differences and trying to determine which type of crown is correct for you can be difficult, but we want to make the process of selecting a crown as easy and stress-free as possible for you.

What are they made of?

dental crowns are made of a glass- ceramic material that’s incredibly durable. Traditional ceramic crowns are as durable as your natural teeth, but Emax crowns are indeed more durable. Which means they are less likely to chip, crack, or break. Emax crowns also look indeed more natural than traditional ceramic crowns because the material is slightly translucent, just like natural tooth enamel. This gives the crown an indeed more natural appearance. They can also be painted to match the color of your natural teeth, so no one can make out that your emax crown is not a natural tooth! Zirconia crowns are technically considered metal crowns because they ’re made from an artificial gravestone, but this gravestone is made from a metal similar to titanium called zirconium dioxide. They are incredibly resistant to chip, crack, or break, when you are eating the hardest foods out there. While they've the strength of metal, zirconia crowns are naturally white and can be painted to match your natural teeth, so they look more like ceramic crowns.

Which is better under what circumstances?

When you need a crown on one of the teeth that show prominently in your smile, you want to insure that the crown looks as natural as possible. This is where emax crowns truly shine! Their natural translucence adds an redundant position of depth to their natural appearance, allowing them to look just like a natural tooth. You don’t have to worry about their longivity, as emax crowns are still incredibly durable. Plus, crowns placed on your frontal teeth do not need the added durability of zirconia crowns because they don’t witness the same chewing pressure as molars. Emax crowns give more than enough durability for your frontal teeth and look just like natural teeth, so they are an ideal choice for your frontal teeth. They do not just blend into your smile; they effortlessly contribute to your smile’s beauty!
